A BELATED WELCOME TO OUR NEW ASSISTANT Manager Vinita Chhugani, who took over for Veronica Iraheta. Good luck and thanks to Veronica for always being there for us.
In spite of cold weather and rain, a few brave souls showed up for our first pool party of the season. The June party, however, was a total blowout with over 50 residents attending and food for 100 (OK, I jest but something like that). The upcoming pool parties will be from 4 - 6 PM on August 18th and a Fiesta Finale on September 15th. Except for the September event, these are potluck events.
Please be aware of the newly enforced parking rules, adopted in January 2019, which have been distributed to all homeowners. Violators will be issued a citation that could potentially lead to fines. Thank you to those that provided comments.
Our new LED street and pool lights are installed. We are awaiting the final 2 lights, numbering of the poles and cleanup. We’re all a lot brighter than we used to be which is pretty unusual.
We’ve had several homeowners with water leaks coming from the laundry room. Try to remember to check periodically when you do a wash that there is no leak. Even if you are like me and try to have a three month supply of underwear, a quarterly check should be fine.
Important information concerning Gas Shutoff Valves, Gas Leaks, and Electrical issues in the event of an emergency: When you see her coming, you think disaster. Kathy Jones, our guru and fearless leader in trying to get the community prepared in the event of a natural disaster/emergency, has researched and put together a very informative report on automatic gas shutoff, as well as researching plumbing firms that could install them. This report gives information about where a new shutoff valve can be purchased, provides information regarding gas leaks, and answers some electrical questions. We hope to have this information posted to our website. To access this report please go to harborbay.org
